The first "big" one. The first big project we did was in 2011. It was a 2000 sqft historic home we gutted to the studs. That one really boosted our confidence and it still is a source of pride to this day. The owners before us lived there for over 30 years. I still remember so many details about the house before we demoed. It's a special home.

Before and after: That one time we added a bathroom to an old house... it used to be a closet. Built in 1890-ish. The first floor was badly damaged so we installed a new hardwood to match the historic heart pine floors on the 2nd floor. Sink was made with 2x4 wood from the house. We never throw away reuseable wood. You can't easily replace 130 year old wood. I will always have ❤ for this home.

Wish I took more BEFORE pictures...but you get the idea. I love looking at 'before and afters'. Anything is possible with a little imagination and renovating! And it doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg...but it does depend on the work. 🤔 Rabbit hole conversation.

This dining room was pretty much in the condition you see in the before photo. We were able to protect (yes, things get damaged during demo) the beautiful fireplace mantle and tile hearth and refresh the large original doors. Maintain the history!
